If publicity -Powered Media World is so much feverish to give ' Bha -Ratna ' to some Cricket Genius, why not it should first, be given to LEANDER or ANAND ?
After all, both TENNIS & CHESS are t WORLD SPORT and OLYMPIC GAMES.
And , however we are 'drugged' or Induced by Commercial Enterprises and Media Hypes with ( Latest ) out-sourced 'Cheer girls' - stimulus, CRICKET has a Genetic origin in Feudal and then Imperial/ colonial heredity with acquired Match -fixing and Politico -Corporate 'Viral syndrome' .
Over more ,I think, CRICKET was and is never a WORLD-GAME. No Country other than a few Nations of past Colonial back -ground of the World ,-Play Cricket. As such, how this Game is given the standard of World -Cup ( and by whom? ).
And , -since Cricket is not listed in OLYMPIC- Sport, I think , I have the right to name it a famous ZONAL Business-Enterprise with Great Commercial Potentiality.
Of course all above statements are my personal and Independent opinion and , to me , Leander & Anand are greater World Sport-person.
